Privacy Policy

• —Account info from Clerk: email address, name, and any social-login provider info (Google) you use to sign in.
• —Usage data: chats you create, queries you submit, analyses you run, public-share links you make, and timestamps for each.
• —Billing info via Stripe (Pro subscribers only): name, billing address, tax ID if you provide one, and the last 4 digits of your card. We never see or store full card numbers — Stripe handles those.
• —Server logs: IP address, browser user agent, request paths. Used for rate-limiting and troubleshooting.

• —Run the service: route your queries, persist your chat history, gate your usage caps.
• —Bill Pro subscribers, send receipts, recover failed payments.
• —Detect abuse and rate-limit anonymous traffic.
• —Improve the service — we read aggregated logs to find broken queries or bad data.

Datatrove runs on these services and necessarily shares the relevant slice of your data with each. Each has its own privacy policy:

• —Clerk — authentication. Stores your account email, name, and session tokens. Clerk privacy policy.
• —Stripe — billing for Pro subscribers. Handles all payment data; we never see card numbers. Stripe privacy policy.
• —Anthropic, OpenRouter — large language model inference. Your chat queries are sent to these providers to generate responses. They do not train on the data per their stated commitments. Anthropic, OpenRouter.
• —Neon — Postgres database hosting. Stores your chat history, account profile, and subscription state. Neon privacy policy.
• —Vercel — frontend hosting and edge logs. Vercel privacy policy.
• —Google Cloud — backend API and async workers. Google Cloud privacy notice.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond running and improving the service.

Chats are private by default. If you choose to share a chat, anyone with the link can view it (and it may appear in our public Gallery). The public view shows your first name (from Clerk) or, if absent, the first part of your email. You can revert a chat to private at any time, but cached or indexed copies elsewhere may persist.

• —Account data and chat history: kept while your account is active.
• —Stripe billing records: retained for 7 years per US tax-record requirements (Stripe-side, not us).
• —Server logs: rotated within 90 days.

• —Access — email us and we'll send you a copy of the data we hold about you.
• —Correction — update your name/email in your Clerk account at any time.
• —Deletion — delete your account in the dashboard or email us. We cancel any active subscription, delete your local rows, and stop processing your data. Stripe customer records are retained for the legal retention window above.
• —California residents: you have additional rights under the CCPA (right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale — we don't sell data). Contact us to exercise them.
• —EU/UK residents: you have GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection). Contact us to exercise them.

We use a session cookie set by Clerk to keep you signed in, and Stripe sets a session cookie during checkout for fraud prevention. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

Datatrove isn't directed at children under 13. Don't sign up if you're under 13.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or via email to active subscribers. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
