Terms of Service

We help you find, understand, and combine public datasets via natural-language chat and an "Analyze" tool that runs deeper investigations. We do not host the underlying government data — we maintain enriched metadata that points to the original sources. We make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or freshness of the underlying data; always check the original publisher for authoritative numbers.

• —You sign up with Clerk (Google or email + password). Keep your credentials secure.
• —You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at support@kahidreamers.com if it's compromised.
• —One person, one account. Don't share credentials.
• —You must be 13 or older to use Datatrove.

Don't:

• —Use the service to violate any law or third-party rights.
• —Scrape, automate, or otherwise abuse the API or chat endpoints in a way that imposes disproportionate load.
• —Try to extract the system prompts, model weights, or other internal mechanisms.
• —Use the service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or harassing.
• —Resell, sublicense, or use Datatrove to build a competing product.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

• —The Free tier has usage caps (analyses per month, chat messages per day) shown in your account dashboard. Caps may change over time.
• —Pro is $49/month, billed monthly via Stripe in USD. This is introductory pricing while Datatrove is in soft launch — see the price-change clause below. Tax is added on top per your billing address (Stripe Tax).
• —Pro increases your usage caps and adds the deeper-thinking Analyze model. Specific cap numbers may change as we tune the service.
• —Cancel any time from the Manage Subscription portal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for; we don't issue prorated refunds.
• —If a payment fails, we retry per Stripe's default schedule. After all retries fail, the subscription is canceled and you return to Free.
• —Price changes: we may adjust Pro pricing for future billing periods. We'll notify active subscribers at least 30 days in advance via email or an in-app banner. Your current paid period is unaffected — any change takes effect at your next renewal.

We don't advertise a refund policy because the Free tier is meant to let you evaluate the product before paying. That said, if something is clearly broken or you were charged in error, email us — we'll make it right. Refunds are at our discretion and processed via Stripe.

You own the queries and chats you create. By using Datatrove you grant us a non-exclusive license to process them as needed to run the service. If you choose to mark a chat as public (via the share feature), you grant us the additional right to display it on the public Gallery page until you revert it to private.

The Datatrove software, branding, and curated metadata catalog are our property. The underlying government datasets are public-domain or licensed by their original publishers. Always cite the original source when redistributing data — we link to it on every dataset page.

Datatrove uses large language models (Anthropic Claude, Qwen via OpenRouter, and others) to interpret your queries and surface datasets. LLM output can contain errors, including making up dataset titles or hallucinating numbers. We try hard to ground responses in real metadata, but we cannot guarantee zero error. Verify any specific number or claim against the cited original source before acting on it.

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or for any other reason at our discretion. On termination your active subscription is canceled and your local data is deleted per the Privacy Policy retention schedule.

Datatrove is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind — we don't promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any specific purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months, or (b) USD $50.

We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of state and federal courts located in Alameda County, California.

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or via email to active subscribers. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
